Gloucestershire Guide

Gloucestershire is a county with 2 beautiful but contrasting areas divided by the river Severn. On the east of the severn is the heart of the Cotswolds hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous for its beautiful rolling countryside and distinctive picturesque villages made from the Cotswold yellow limestone.

On the West of the Severn is the Forest of Dean a large triangular area of mixed woodland.

In addition to the beautiful countryside scenery are the sophisticated towns of Cheltenham and the city of Gloucester. If you wish to experience and enjoy the heartland of England, Gloucestershire is the place to visit. Below we have listed an introduction to a few of the places to see.
